The Step UP Walk is DSNMC's largest fundraising and awareness event of the year, attracting over 700 participants and raising 70% of the annual revenue needed to fulfill our mission. Together, we STEP UP to celebrate the extraordinary lives of people with Down syndrome and raise much needed funds to provide education and support programs, resources, advocacy and initiatives that span the lives of individuals with Down syndrome from birth through adulthood. Here's a snapshot of some of your donations at work.
The Step UP Walk is a short 1 mile stroll around Falls Road Park (Hadley's Park), located in Potomac, Maryland. We kick off the morning with a pre-party at 10:30 AM and start the walk at 11:45 AM. The event is filled with entertainment, music and fun at every turn. After the "walk", stroll right into our after-party with dancing, activities, food, drinks and fun for everyone to enjoy.
5 Ways to Step UP!
1. Be a Team Captain
Become a team captain and set up a peer-to-peer fundraiser to support people with Down syndrome. Help us reach our goal of 50+ teams this year. For help, email brooke@dsnmc.org.
2. Donate
Thank you for Stepping UP for people with Down syndrome and their families by donating to our largest celebration and fundraiser of the year! You may donate to a specific team or to the general fundraiser. Donate HERE!
3. Register for the Step UP Walk
Anyone wishing to attend this year's Step UP Walk must REGISTER (even if you set up a team). To join a team, please indicate the team name during registration. Email admin@dsnmc.org with questions.
4. Sponsor Us!
Your brand will receive maximum exposure and your commitment will resonate deeply within the Down syndrome community and beyond.
