The name was changed to Down Syndrome Network of Montgomery County in 2007. The DSNMC has grown over the years to a $180,000 charitable 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization that develops workshops with national and local speakers to educate parents and professionals, works closely with local organizations to provide support and resources to families with individuals with Down Syndrome (Ds), raises funds and promotes advocacy throughout local universities and hospitals to educate students and health care professionals about Ds.
