Rita Kelliher-Black

Board Member

Rita has over 40 years of experience in strategic leadership, engagement, and collaborative partnerships with academic and federal public health agencies. She recently retired as the Chief Academic Officer for the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH), the association representing accredited schools and programs of public health. She hopes to bring her public health education and training perspective to discussions and community-based efforts to ensure that people with intellectual disabilities have every opportunity to be healthy and engage in activities that promote fitness and wellness.
 
Rita graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a Masters of Public Health and a B.A. from the College of Holy Cross. Together with her husband, Rita has two children and three grandchildren.
