World Down Syndrome Day is an annual event on March 21st (3/21) to celebrate and support the lives of people with Down syndrome. DSNMC needs your help on Saturday, February 7, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM as we prepare information packets and invitations for local organizations, schools, and sponsors to participate in the Rock Your Socks campaign and World Down Syndrome Day celebrations.

At this event, participants will help prepare materials and assemble packets for mailing, including our signature mismatched socks! We’ll keep things fun by playing music and providing snacks! Quiet activities will be available for younger children in attendance.

This event is open to all DSNMC families. Self advocates are encouraged to attend and help! Teens and adults with Down syndrome can be dropped off for this event if they are able to safely stay with our group and willing to assist with tasks. Accommodations and examples will be provided to enable greater independence for participants.
