Each day until World Down Syndrome Day on March 21 (tomorrow!), we are highlighting one or more wonderful members of our community (21 Days of Ability). Today we'd like you to meet Desmond!

“My name is Desmond but some people call me Des or Desi. I enthusiastically greet people at school with a ‘Hi!’ and a wave. I’ve been working very hard on walking. I love books; my current favorite is ‘The Nose Book’ by Dr. Seuss. I love learning new words and signs. Music is my jam; I love dancing, clapping, and drumming along. One of my current faves is ‘Try Everything’ by Shakira! My physical therapist says getting a hug from me is the best part of her week.”
