Day 6: Taegon
Each day until World Down Syndrome Day on March 21, we are highlighting a wonderful member of our community (21 Days of Ability). This year's theme is "I have Down syndrome and I belong." Today we'd like you to meet Taegon!
"My name is Taegon. I’m a middle school student and a member of my school’s safety patrol. After school, I help direct carpool traffic to make sure students get home safely, and I take that job seriously. I work hard in school, help out at home, and try to be someone people can rely on. I’m proud to contribute to my family, my classmates, my school, and my community. My path may look a little different, but I keep showing up, doing the work, and moving forward. That’s what ability looks like for me."
Will you invest in the lives of Taegon and others with Down syndrome? Join our 21 Days of Giving campaign to advance our mission. Donations of as little as $10/month help us sustain our year round programming and advocacy efforts. Help us reach our goal of having 21 monthly supporters by World Down Syndrome Day (March 21)!
